2009 has been a year of tremendous growth for us.
We launched our online shop with the help of Binary Environments in 2009, and we are planning some changes for our website for the spring to make it even better.
We proudly launched our collaboration with Mackintosh in the spring of 2009 which we will continue to do each season. We are also pleased to be the exclusive retailer of Mackintosh in Vancouver.
Our made in Scotland merino sweaters were launched in the fall of 2009 and in the spring we will have Lark cashmere cotton sweaters also made in Scotland by the same manufacturer.
We had scarves made here in Vancouver using wool from a turn of the century farm in Alberta. Danae sourced the wool and made each piece by hand.
Ravi Designs who are responsible for the lovely linen curtains in our dressing rooms are also responsible for making our cotton and linen scarves. There will be more to look forward to in 2010 from Ravi.
At the very end of 2009 our Lark and Tannis Hegan wallet was completed. It took a lot of effort throughout the year to perfect it. Tannis has been a great source of inspiration for us from the first day we met, seeing this collaborative effort come to life with her is really exciting.
In January 2009 we received our Hunter, the ferocious store watchdog.
She has become such a lovely young lady.
Some of you may have been following our Lark About blog over the past few years, and you may have noticed that this past year it has taken it's own distinct direction. In the new year we are planning even more new things for Lark About that will give even more insight into what drives Lark forward.
All of these ideas have been realized because of the support and interest that you, our customers have shown. Thank you so much. Without you we would not have the ability to do what we do.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
