Burkman Brothers Fall 09

The success of the line is due to three things: Doug and Ben (Canadian twins) design their own fabrics, which they have made at factories they've worked with for years; The clothes feel great. They are modern, masculine, comfortable and fitted—and feature nicely designed details that don't get in the way but also don't go unnoticed; and lastly the passion of the twins themselves, who have honed their skills designing at Gap and use their passion for traveling as the inspiration for their collections.

Burkman Bros Fall 09 takes inspiration from "Boys Academies in Far Away Places" - think British Calcutta, with a stop-off in the hill stations of the Himalayas. There are amazing luxe flannel shirts lined in super soft oxford, varsity sweaters that fit perfectly and a fantastic assortment of pants that have just the right amount of detail to take them to the next level - or the next hill station for that matter.
They promise exclusive fabrics and prints, original yarn-dye patterns and trims that make for distinctive and strong menswear.

(We were at their studio in February and saw this awesome inspiration board there. )
