Terre et Mer Silk series (New Arrival)

It is said that silk was discovered when a cocoon from the larva of a Bombyx mori moth fell from a mulberry tree into the teacup of the Chinese empress Hsi Ling-shi in the third milennium b.c.; she opened it and found a glistening thread.
Silk is a very fine fiber and the strongest of the natural ones (it is as strong as nylon, and is often compared to iron wire of the same thickness). It's also wrinkle-resistant, and holds shape well. At the same time, it's very elastic -- it can stretch up to 120% of its length before snapping, it retains pleats and colour well, it's lightweight, and although it can be warmer than wool, it is a year-round fabric.

It's been a while since we've had the time to post. It's been a busy few weeks at Lark. We have new brands finally arriving, and new clothes from brands that are Lark staples too.

We had every intention of sharing our New York trip with you all. Somehow we only managed to get photos of food and coffee! It was so cold that taking pictures of people and what they were wearing was way too difficult. You'll just have to believe me when I say that there really is a magical land full of people wearing natural fibres.

I just found this review from the Martini Boys which really warmed my heart. They like us! I like them too whoever they are. I imagine them as an army of impossibly sartorial men with really good haircuts. The Martini Boys website is a great source for finding places off the beaten track. Check it out!

Match making

Here are a few items that may be of particular interest. They like long walks on the beach and romantic candlelit dinners.



Misaki Jacket (SOLD)

One of these amazing Malene Birger blazers is left awaiting it's rightful owner. It is a size 34 and super fitted at the waist. The back pleat gives this jacket an equestrian feel without being too literal.

Pozu Slippers

We have 2 pair left.One in an XS and the other is an XXS in wool and sheepskin. They were $153, now they are marked down to $95.






Oxford (SOLD)

This pair of Zeha oxfords is the last pair. They are fitting one size larger than how they are marked, so although they are stamped as 37 (or women's 7) they are fitting like 38's (or women's 8). They are made from cow hide with stitched soles and all of the love that each pair of Zeha's are made from.

They are selling for $223.50 from $372.








Lady Boot (SOLD)

We have one pair of these amazing boots by Zeha left. They are a size 40, or 10 women's (8 men's). The leather is Horse hide which is extremely durable. Each pair of Zeha shoes and boots are handmade, vegetable tanned and really comfortable.
